Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Long story cut short. My husband is an Architect (listed profession), applied for the canadian immigration in Nov 2010. There was no news till May 2011. Then there was an email from CIC saying their postal mail to us (don't know what was inside) was returned undelivered to them.

Then, we send an email requesting for status update.

Today, there was an email from them with the following info. My husband's application is being processed, they have given a UIC (an eight digit numerical without a dash) and application number EXXXXXXXX (E followed by eight digits).

We cannot track the application status on CIC website using either of these numbers.

Any idea what could be happening?

I read online and see everyone who applied aound No last year got some numbers in Feb this year.

Is this AOR what we have got?

Thanks

u should use ur surname that u mentioned in ur application, instead of using full name......and also select the option idetification type "immigration file number".....try it now

i had the same query just minutes ago but Mr.Malik was v kind to ve helpd me out.try it now it shall work .all teh best

I tried all permutations of surname/family name :( No Luck.

Identification #, I tried two options:

Client ID: The UIC (8 digit number) that I received
Immigration File Number : EXXXXXXXX (E followed by 8 digits).

What do you think is going wrong?

When I try Immigration File # as EXXXXXXXX, I get an err or saying this number should be of format BXXXXXXXXX ???

well i am not too sure now wts wrong.I had the same prob like i told u but i just checked my status with the info i shared with u.
make sure u r using the correct bio data..like ur date of birth n plce of birth.and use just the family name u used in ur application.

use the EXXXXXXXX no

Thanks for your help.

Will keep trying with different things.

Can you tell me whether this EXXXXXXXX is also called AOR?

Also, did this immigration file number used to be BXXXXXXXXX earlier?

the Exxxxxxxx no is not AOR.AOR is acknowledgement of receipt which is given by VO --visa office.
u have got a PER now ur file is being transferred by CIO to VO.On recipt of ur application by the VO they will send u an AOR letter .I believe that would contain the Bxxxxxxxx no.I am not sure abt this though.
rest thats the process how it works.
