I'm considering to apply as a Skilled Worker (Federal) under the "Sales, Marketing and Advertising Managers (NOC 0611)" skill set. A friend of mine is running his company in British Columbia and he is willing to send me a job offer letter (AEO). But we don't know where to start. Should he just write up a job offer on his company letter head and send it to HRSDC for approval? Or are there any other steps / hurdles involved? Are there any fees involved in getting a job offer letter approved by HRSDC?
I'll be very grateful if someone could give me detailed information in this regard, or if you could give me a step by step process of writing up a job offer letter and finally getting it approved by HRSDC.

Read more here how to apply @ HRSDC. http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/corporate/policy_programs/index.shtml
or He can take advice from HRSDC information center, your friend must know it ask him or ask some lawyers in Canada.

@ OMM: Thanks much for your reply. Please forgive me for my lack of knowledge, but I went through the HRSDC link you sent me and it has a long list of categories. On that page, I tried looking up the most relevant links like "Foreign Workers", but I could not find any information relevant to my interest. As OMM suggested, I know going to a lawyer for advice would be the best option but I will not be able to afford the lawyers fee, and that is why I wish to apply for immigration on my own while trying to gather as much knowledge as possible before I apply. Could anyone please point me in the right direction? I just need to know the steps I or my friend should follow to send me a "valid" job offer letter. Once again, please forgive me for my lack of knowledge. I'll be grateful if someone could help me....

Adamvaid and OMM, thanks so much for your help.

I see 2 different pages there:

hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/poarremp.shtml

and

hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/poworkperm.shtml

The first link shows me what I ought to do to get a Permanent Residency but then they would not permit me to work in Canada. To be able to work in Canada, the 2nd link given above applies. To my understanding, on the 2nd link they state that a Labour Market Opinion application is required if one wants to be able to work in Canada. I may be wrong, but getting a Labour Market Opinion seems a bit confusing to me. My question is, if my primary objective is to get a Permanent Residency in Canada and just land there safely with my wife, which route should my friend (who is willing to offer me an AEO) and I follow?

yes 2nd link is for steps to apply, Once you get LMO then I guess you will suceed to get AEO and enter on work permit, then after you can apply after 1year for PR inside canada.
if you ready to apply PR from outside canada then AEO will help you to get max 10points.
may this text will help you to clear your doubts.
