i got my visa from chc islamabad, its validity is from 31july 2012 to 7 april 2013,because my passaport will expire on 8april 2013,its my foult i dint check it before submitting,i course duration is 2 years,what should i do now?my classes will satrt in sep and i will be leaving on 31 aug,i dont have enough time to renew my passport.and what will be the duration of the study permit which i iwill be getting on canadian airport? do i have to repply for study visa again in canada?is it difficult i am really worried phr se bank statment n all?

Just go and study , before the expiration of the passport renew it , and extend your study permit and TRV...........

I would suggest that next year don't take the summer semester and return back to Pakistan. Apply for a new passport here in Pakistan and then get your student visa renewed. Here is the process;

Don't forget to clearly mention your case in the SOP....good luck!

1. Get new passport before the expiry of this one.
2. Apply for renewal of study permit and new TRV

I would suggest that next year don't take the summer semester and return back to Pakistan. Apply for a new passport here in Pakistan and then get your student visa renewed. Here is the process;

I believe you don't need new passport. You can renew it from Canada and renew your study permit as well. You can also check the following website of High Commission of Pakistan in Canada. pakmission.ca

1. A TRV/Study Permit does not expire with the expiry of the valid passport. By default, you get both up to the validity of the Passport. OP need a new Passport and subsequent renewal of Study Permit.

I have the same problem, I also got admission in MASc program ( 2 year) but my passport is expiring next year. Can any one explain here what is the difference between TRV & SP? do we need to extend only SP or both. Do we need separate application to extend both visas? and what documents we need to submit in this case, as it is happens due to the passport expiry?

As far as I know, you can get your passport re-issued at the embassy!
