Hi,

I have applied for my husband and step son who are in india

I came to canada in 2009 on point system and got married in india on april 2010, however my wedding was not attended by my family as they did not supported my marraige but my husband mom and his son and few friends were there on marraige followed by reception with around 100 attendees. After coming bACK TO CANADA i appiled for my husband and step son in march 2011.
However in between i again visited my step son and huband in jan 2011.i know my husband for last 4 yrs as we worked in same organisation that how we became god friends and and when i came to canad in 2009 we use to talk to each other on phone as good friends.
I also need to know my husband is in mumbai, will file be sent to mumbai or delhi.
I need to know hw stong my case is???PLs help

uhmmmm send phone bills, emails, pictures of the wedding, and reception and any proof of your relation, thats what makes it strong. you need physical evidence that shows you guys are in a relation and communicating, even while your in canada,
as for your family not attending, you will need to provide a explanation letter as to why they did not attend, also your husband better have all his divorce papers from his former wife,
theres some advice lol

ya i did show all phone bills and explanation letter regarding my parents did not attended the wedding and even the divorce papers. and all photo and reception photo are given and even the bills before marriage are give showing that we in contact even when i came to Canada in 2009.........Pls help me... i also want to where the file will go new delhi or mumbai

You send the application to Mississauga, and then they will send the file to New Delhi.

For arranged marriages from India, the visa officer expects to see a very large wedding celebration with both families present. If one side of the family doesn't approve, it will be seen as a red flag by the New Delhi VOs (it doesn't matter so much if it is a marriage in some other part of the world). However, just explain your situation. If some relatives attended from both sides, make sure to mention that. The application can still be accepted - you just have to explain the situation.

Thanks again for ur advise........i did mention in the application that my parents did not attend the wedding inspite of me speaking to them that i want to get married to my husband....however on my wedding my mother in law and step son was there.pls advice.
