Hi
I am a March 8 AOR candidate, AINP-PNP inland applicant. As the PR in the process and the closed work permit is due to expire in Jan 2019, we applied as a family yesterday, for my Bridging open work permit, my spouse open work permit ext, and my kids student permit extensions online.

My question here is: Do my spouse need to apply for the visitor visa extension also as its going to expire in Jan 2019. She entered with me on a visitor visa and working here on an open work permit. So, she needs to extend her visitor visa also?? please help and provide some inputs reg this.

Thanks a lot!!!!

Visas are related to the entry to any country. If your PR application is in process and don't have any plan to go out of country and re-enter, then you don't need to apply for visas for you or other family members. I know when you apply for BOWP, the forms for Visas come as an optional documents and you can ignore it as you are not applying for visa. I would suggest you to get the BOWP/open WP for spouse and study permits for the kids and apply for visas afterwords if you need to. May be you will get PR before you plan to go out of country and you will not need to apply for visas any more and save money. Hope it will help!
