Need Help: Passport Expiring after Landing

Dear Seniors,

We have got our PR last September 2017. Validity of PR is till June 10, 2018. In view to that, I have booked my tickets for first week of April 2018. However, my spouse passport is expiring in June 2018. Please advise;

1. Shall we land with her existing passport in April 2018.
OR
2. Shall I apply for her passport renewal and ask the passport authorities not to cancel the old passport in their system.

My suggestion is Its better to travel with passport which has at least 6 months validity.
You may renew the passport and travel with old and new passport, assuming old passport has visa. As far as I know Visa wont expire if passport expires.
