need help on visa!!!

i worked in canada for 1yr and 2 months, and i had to go home for family emergency.. i resigned from my work because i was not sure how long it would take me before i can decide to go back to work.. my visa is up until may 2011, will i be able to use it or do i have to get another visa if i have a new employer?? need help, thanks
