Need help, multiple NOC?

Good morning,

I am at 465 points and my permit is expiring in February. I would like to get more points in order to make the cutoff. One thing I can see potentially to get more points is under skilled work experience.
My current job of 1 year 3 months is under NOC B and I am still employed by them.
My previous job of 1 year 6 months is under NOC 0 as a dining room manager.
However, under FSW I would not be able to use the previous job as it does not have the same NOC as my primary? Would I get the points and be going through CEC then? I did not declare this because I am unsure if it qualifies.

This would boost me from 465 to 515. Thank you for your help.,

Yes, you can use that experience. There's no rule that your work experience needs to be all in the same NOC.. why are you thinking that?

The rule for FSW is - minimum 1 year of continuous work experience in one single NOC to qualify. You can't mix two different NOCs to get that one year - so if you had worked for six months in one NOC and six months in another, you wouldn't qualify.

In your case, you have 1.3 years in NOC B and 1.6 years in NOC 0 - both would qualify you separately, and together, you can say you have 2.9 years of work experience.

Since you haven't made it clear whether your experience is in Canada, a foreign country, or a mix, I can't say whether you would qualify under CEC (1 year (non-continuous) skilled Canadian work ex).

This was the one confusing me. Both jobs were in Canada. So I could put the NOC 0 position on my profile for the score then, when I obtain the letter from my previous employer?

However, that doesn't mean that you can't have had other NOC 0/A/B jobs.

Let's say you worked in NOC 1234 for 30 months continuously, and then NOC 1789 for 6 months.

You cannot apply under NOC 1789 since you don't have one year of work ex. Instead, you would apply under NOC 1234... but your total work experience would be 3 years.

If you have at least one year of skilled Canadian work ex in the past three years (doesn't need to be continuous), you would fall under CEC. Otherwise, you would fall under FSW.
