Need Help - Inland Visitor Visa extension

Hi,

My Mother visited us in Canada and stayed for 6 months. We have applied for her extension for another 3 months with in the initial 6 months of her stay.
Her status was till end of November 2015 and we applied for her extension in Mid November.

This application is still not touched (Not even in process) because of the long wait times and my mother left Canada yesterday.

Can I cancel the TRV extension application as its still not processed?
Will this impact my mother as she over stayed in Canada?

Yes. You can email them and request it to be cancelled. You can even get a refund if the process hasn't started.

No, she did not overstay.
