Haha.. Big thanks Steph. I think we just have to strengthen our financial relationship at this point. I would also try getting a TRV to visit her there. Just dont know about how honest I should be with the VO and then when granted, to the border patrols/officers.

You will only be granted one if you can prove enough assets to keep you returning to the Philippines, like property, businesses, family, money in the bank. They want to make sure you will return to the Philippines after your visit. A round trip ticket is not enough proof for them.
We didn't tell the truth about our relationship when we applied for my partner's TRV 3 years ago - because we were afraid of being judged in our relationship since he was not able to divorce and therefore still legally married. We didn't know anything then.. we just said we were friends. Anyways we still got denied twice even with money, a round trip ticket and proof of jobs overseas to return to. Now I'm nervous that they will have that on file from before. I don't know what will happen.. So I think you should say that you're going to visit your partner on the application. Who knows what they keep on file.

Everything.
The CAIPS notes will show previous applications. I don't know that the visa officers read them carefully, however, since the visa officer was clearly surprised by a document my husband showed her that was in our CAIPS notes.
On the other hand, if someone applies for a TRV to come visit you, and says you are a 'friend', the visa officers realize this usually means 'boyfriend or girlfriend' and won't give you problems on that account. (Usually.)

That's a relief. Do you think I should write a note about it and include it when we sent them more stuff (like his new medical, and our names on the house lease) I'm really nervous to get in trouble for that.

Hi guys! Should I ask for a single entry TRV or multiple entry? This is my first time. My concern for the single entry TRV is that the VO might suspect that my only business to go to Canada is to marry my girlfriend where as if I asked for a multiple entry, it is all natural and logical. However, others are suggesting that first timers should just ask for single entry before multiple entry. Thanks again...

I would not specifically address the fact you referred to your spouse as a friend when he applied for a TRV. That will just draw their attention to it. You could attach proof he was applying for a TRV to visit you, now his spouse. (As opposed to applying for a TRV just to get into Canada, which can be a red flag.)
