NEED HELP. Got COPR as Single, Added my Wife to file, Old COPR become Absolute.

CIC is now saying that They will give me a new COPR and Immg Visa along with my wife( she will get a COPY and Immg Visa)

I am July application- Applied as single. Got Passport request in Feb 2016 and COPY/Immg visa in March 2016.

When I got married and added my wife in April before I did the landing, CIC asked some forms to be filled for my wife along with Medicals and Police certificate.. I submitted all the documents on April 11 th 2013,

Till now I did not get any response from CIC.. Not sure when we will get the Passport Request ..

Any one has the scenario, Pls let me know?

Did I did a mistake by not doing the landing when I got the COPR and Immg in March 2016 ? ( Note : I thought to add my wife and get her a COPR/Immg Visa so that we both can do the landing at the same time)

No, you did not make a mistake by adding your wife.

It takes a few months to process your wife's documents, security and background checks etc. They will then request both passport and issue new COPRs.

Probably around 3-4 months.

3-4 months which is way better than waiting up to 2 years if you landed alone and sponsored her for PR.
