Hello Friends,

Please help me to understand the mail which I received from CIC after sending my RCMP fingerprint record.

History :
- I sent my PCC to CIC on 31st March'14 (I have not sent PCC originally with Application)
- I asked CIC to acknowledge my PCC receive but no response
- Got RCMP finger print request on 16th May asking for [Ø Police Certificate: A certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints.] which I sent CIC on 31st May '14

On 8th June' 14 got This acknowledgment mail from CIC
"Dear Sir/Madam

Our office confirms that we received the police certificates and the RCMP fingerprint report. Your application is being processed as per our regulatory timeline.
Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization at this moment
."
Please note and which i Bold , All confusion starts because of this and Only :p

My Question :

1) Does CIC acknowledgment mail means they are acknowledging receiving of both my PCC and RCMP (why I am asking this cause when CIC asked for RCMP Finger print they call this also as "Police Certificate:RCMP " )
OR theay are just acknowledging my RCMP receive NOT for PCC

I am really confused before sending them (infact poking them) again ack for PCC

Please help to understand

-Thanks

RCMP is PCC from Canada. When they ask for RCMP finger print that means they need PCC from Canada. You are confusing yourself by thinking PCC from Canada and RCMP finger print are 2 different things. Infact they are not.

Inshort, you don't have to do anything from your side as they have found and attached your RCMP fingerprint report(Canadian PCC) to your application.

Thanks Goku ,

May be i did not articulate my Query properly , Sorry about that .

Actually 2 separate documents I sent to CIC one in Home country PCC (sent to CIC on 31st March) and second RCMP Finger point (Canada PCC you can say)[Sent to CIC on 26th May]
BUT one single ACK mail I got on 8th June. (mail content i mentioned din my original message)

Now my question was whether CIC is acknowledging receival of both piece of document or just RCMP in their ack mail

Thanks and sorry for confusion
