Need help! BOWP approved but still not received!!!

Hello everyone, please give us an advise. My friend receive his Nomination dec 2014, and apply for PR. And also he apply for BOWP last Jan2 online. Now it's already more than the processing time and we are calling almost everyday to CIC. He was informed that it was approved but still not printing it and we just have to wait until they recognized that the application is already beyond the processing time. The agent in the CIC always said that they can't do anything but to make a note on the application. Work permit will be expired april8 so if there's anything we can do. Please advice us. We will appreciate it please guys

It usually takes time between approval + mailing before the wp gets to you. He should receive it sometime this month. Should in case he does not get it before April 8 then he can continue working under implied status until he gets it.

Thank you. We are still worried because though it was approved as per CIC agent we don't receive any updates when we check the status online. But I think we can't do anything

There is gap between that as well...once when I ordered GCMS notes for my work permit, I found that it was decisioned on 15th of the month, and they updated online on 23rd. So what CIC agent sees is latest...at max you can call once more..and it 2 agents confirm it..then you are good. dont worry, it will come.

Yes that's the number. Better call early in the morning. At around 8-8 30am and you will able to talk to an agent.

My friend just got the work permit after more than 2 months but unfortunately he got a Closed work permit and not a Bridging open work permit. I don't know what happen. What went wrong. Is it because we put the name of the company or the employer on the application? please suggests thank you

it depends on your pnp certificate aswell,if you have employer name indicated on pnp cert then you likely will get closed .if you apply online BOWP they will ask you for pnp supporting letter and AOR .anyone without AOR and pnp supporting letter apply for closed permit.i applied paper based BOWP without pnp supporting letter but have AOR and medical done in sep 2014 , they issued me an open workpermit.if you apply paper based it might take little longer but will definetly get either open or close .

its just march 2015 and your workpermit expires on jan 2016 means almost a years.so take it easy wait for your AOR and medical ,once your done then get a pnp supporting letter and apply BOWP online with all the documents.most likely with AOR and pnp supporting letter you can apply for open workpermit.just chill .

you need to send an email to your pnp office requesting for your workpermit supporting letter.and you need to attach your recent pay cheque,medical receipt which you did for cic and workpermit, if you have paid your landing fee then you can attach that aswell. so they will provide you the supporting letter .

thanks for a helpful info. so basically this supporting letter is needed if we apply the open wp and the nomination is already expired. i want to ask this to you now even if its too early.. how about for the application form? do we need to put the name of the company or just put N/A so that they will not be confuse?
