Need assistance in making decision to Apply or Not

Hi All, I am in the mid-way to apply to Canada....... My profile [[[ 31 years age, B.Tech with 9+ years of IT experience into Hadoop, Data Analytics and Microsoft Tecnologies, got IELTS (L-7.5,R-8.5,W-6.5,S-6.0, Overall - 7.0) ]]] .................my WIFE profile is [[[26 years age, M.Tech with 2+ years of IT experience into Microsoft Tecnologies, got IELTS (L-7.5,R-7.0,W-6.0,S-6.0, Overall - 6.5) ]]]

I dunno whether i am calculating my CRS tool scores wright? but I am getting 369 points under CRS tool score with my wife as primary and 359 points with my profile as primary...........

Can I go ahead an create my EE profile????? What is the chances of getting selected ???? is there any other sources to improve my score to get ITA????

create profile it's free of cost. If you can get score 400+ you might get a chance to apply for nomination.

I am no expert...infact just a newbie here and on EE......You are losing points since you dont have a P.G or any education after Bachelors.....an of course IELTS.

For your wife as a principal applicant....she has PG but experience is 2 years, if this had been 3 years, there would have been a surge in the CRS.

In my opinion, just wait for some time, let your wife acquire a bit of more working experience and have both your IELTS at 7.5 to 8 bands...you will score upwards of 450 then.

PS : Lowest CRS has been 450, and only on 1 occasion. One needs to have at least that...or the wait might be very long.

Agree with Paramjeet.

Work on your Ielts as everyone has said.

I am 31 and stayed in English speaking country for last 10 years still had to appear three times for ielts and get highest score. Its not about knowing English its more about the structure of exam - if you know that then its easy to get high scores. Practice that's all you need. No need for special classes they are useless. Google ielts online course - there are loads of them who provide good overview of entire structure and prepare you well for the exam.

If you get good Ielts score and receive more than 450 crs then might also apply on your own. Suggest create you own profile first and see if CRS is above 450 after improved ielts score till then wait for your wife to get 3 years experience. If you cannot get a ITA based on your profile make another one for your wife as principal applicant with improved ielts score.

Just re-read your query - I think CRS of 450+ is more achievable with your wife being primary applicant as you get extra points for age, education and skill transferability once you have score 7.5 and above in all the sections. However, this is only the case once she has had 3 years of experience - till then ask your wife to improve her ielts score. Your ielts is valid for 2 years anyway so no harm in working towards it.
