NEED ANSWERS ABOUT MEDICAL EXAM.

Hi, I am American and My husband is Canadian. My paperwork to become a permanent resident has been in process for over a year in a hlf now. They recently requested a new medical because in 2012 when I did my medical they some how lost it. So i went to do my medical but I found out I was 5w pregnant. They told me I can not do my x-ray until Im three months due to the risks of harming the baby. All I need left is my medical and now I have to wait three months to complete it. I was advised by the immigration rep that I should write Vegreville and inform them of my situation and maybe I can do it later? This is extremely frustrating because we are almost at the 2 yr mark. Please if someone can help and give me some suggestions. thank you.

in this case i think your rep is correct. if you have to wait to complete the medical because of the xray, the application is going to be delayed until you can get the xray done. the medical is not considered coplete until the xray is submitted/cleared.

From what I've read, medicals can only be extended if they have been done in the past 15 months, so if it's been outside that time, i don't think there is much else that can be done.

Basically, there's nothing you can do but wait or speak to the doctor about doing the X-ray now wearing an apron across your belly. CIC will not approve your app without the X-ray.
