Hi All :) :) :)

I am currently standing on 365 CRS, and quite sure that an ITA is unrealistic in near future.

I spoke to a friend of mine in Canada, he said that he will speak to his employer about job opportunities in his company.
Assuming that his employer is ready to offer me a job, How easy/difficult is the LMIA process? How long does it take to get a LMIA?

Please advise... This is my last hope, if not I can forget Canada and move on..

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
It's difficult. That's why most employers don't want to do it.
First off the employer needs to Advertise the job for four weeks, on job bank and 2 other national sites. The adverts need to remain up for the entire process. They then need to show how no one that applied was suitable and the only person who can do the job is you. They need to explain what specific skills you have, that they need, and no one else can provide.
As part of their application for an LMIA, they need to submit a transition plan, outlining how they will help the foreign national assimilate to canadian life. This document needs to be extremely detailed.

The process time varies, for LMIAS where there is a skill shortage in Canada, some are being processed quickly. Others take up to 5 months.

The rejection rate on LMIA's is high. It's definitely over 50%- I've heard it's as high as 80%
If they are successful in being awarded an LMIA, the company has basically guaranteed themselves an audit in the coming years.

It's not impossible, but if they're going to offer you a job itll pretty much need to be tailored specifically to you and your unique skills to get an approved LMIA.
