Hi,

I got a job and its a walkable distance from Eglinton Station (2190 Yonge Street). I know Line 1 Yonge-University stops there.
I want to be near my work.

Please suggest some good inexpensive apartments. I am looking for a 2 bdrm within $1300.
I am fine with taking the subway but the station shud be in a walkable distance from my apartment.

Urgent, please help!!

Well you'll definitely want to stay away from renting at Yonge and Eglinton. This is an expensive part of the city. If you want to be walking distance from a subway station, then you'll need to look either far east, far west or far north. The Yonge and Steeles area might be a possibility. I would check craigslist. Here's an example:

If you are looking for apartment, not a condo with gym and all those fancy amenities, check www.viewit.ca they post listings for rental properties all across the country. There are over a dozen units within your budget right at Yonge-Eglinton. Personal opinion: stay away from apartment at 322 Eglinton: very dirty and quite unpleasant building.
