Hello,

I have recently been issued an ITA, and I am collecting the documents required for my application.

I am having some issues to obtain a reference letter from a previous employer, which I definitely need because I am claiming points for this job experience. It has been four months since I requested it, and even though I have reminded them several times via emails and phone calls, they still did not prepare it for me and keep ignoring my request.

I am thinking of applying with the following documents to prove my work experience with this company:
  • A reference letter which was prepared by a colleague, to whom I was indirectly reporting. It is lacking my salary, the weekly work hours and it is not written on the company letterhead.
  • A work certificate written on the company letterhead that includes my job title and the period of employment.
  • Email conversation with the company HR which contains some occasional replies from them.
  • Payslips

The weekly working hours is missing from all these documents and I have no idea on how to provide proof of it.
Question 1: Are these documents enough or should I add something else? Any other advice regarding this issue?

I have several documents in French that contain stamps in Arabic.
Question 2: Should I translate the documents because of the stamps?

Thank you for your help!

weekly hours can be mentioned by the colleague and pay slips will suffice your employment proof if it has the employer name over it

Having another reference letter will be tough :(
Anyway, thanks for your response.

Any idea whether a french document having an Arabic stamp needs translation?

You'll have to get a certified English translation for that Arabic document.
