I am an Indian citizen and am about to receive Canadian PR. I am getting an option to work remotely from Canada for the Indian company where I am currently working. This income will be paid in USD. Is there any kind of tax related implications or any kind of implications at all since i work remotely for the indian company?

You will report your worldwide income when you file your Canadian tax return and will pay taxes on your worldwide income.

Still boggles my mind how people think they can live in Canada and use services and infrastructure but expect not to pay taxes. As already noted you would pay Canadian taxes on worldwide income but should also look at whether tax treaties apply to your situation. If being paid in USD is this even an Indian employer or an MNC but office is in India.

Not sure where i mentioned that i want to evade taxes? I only asked a question -if there was anything else to be aware about. I'd appreciate guidance and not your unnecessary comments.

If it was obvious you will have to declare your worldwide income and you’ll be taxed on that why ask? Working remotely for your current Indian employer and being paid in USD doesn’t scream Canadian tax compliance. You also need to be careful if your goal is to have your parents visit on a supervisa or ever attempt to sponsor your parents if not being paid directly in Canada as an employee or consultant.

This is very new to me as i worked in India and have not resigned and talks are for me to continue working for them in Canada so honestly i might miss out on rules here and hence the question. thanks for your guidance! and not planning to sponsor anyone, but thank you for the heads-up.
