Need Advice: Low CRS Score (383) & Out-of-Field Job NOC B —What Are My PR Chances?

Hi everyone,

I’m seeking advice on my current immigration situation. Here’s a bit about my profile:

  • Education: 2-year diploma in IT Software.
  • Work Experience: 1.5 years as a Security Supervisor (NOC TEER 2), which is a higher-skilled job but not related to my field of study.
  • Work Permit: I’m on a 3-year PGWP.
  • Express Entry:
    • My CRS score is 383.
    • CLB level: 7+ in all sections.
  • Alberta Opportunity Stream: I applied, but my field doesn’t align with Alberta’s priority sectors.
I know my CRS score is low, so I’m concerned about my chances of receiving an ITA (Invitation to Apply) for PR.

Questions:

  1. Do I have any realistic chances of getting an ITA with my current score?
  2. Are there other streams or programs in Alberta (or elsewhere) that I should explore?
  3. Any advice on improving my CRS or increasing my chances for PR?
I’d really appreciate any tips or guidance from those who’ve been in a similar situation. Thanks in advance!
