hi,

i am planing to apply for skill immigration category 1. problem is that i work in two different companies. the second company has no problem but the ist company i work for two years was unregistered. it was a small company and i work there as a part time. i work there from 2004 to 2006. when i join in 2004 it was unregistered but they register in 2006. now i am no longer working on this company. my question is if i show work experience of a company which was not registered when i join there will that be a problem? i need to show it for points.

my second query is when i join in second company i got promotion twice. so do i have to submit employment contacts for every promotion i get cause every time i get promotion i sign new contact with them. or i should just submit the initial employment contact? it should be noted that i am applying as a 0213: Computer and Information Systems Managers. and i get promotion in this position after working for one year. so the initial conact dost not mention this position but i collect also reference letter where it mention this position. so do u think i should provide both contacts or the second one or the initial on?

i would be grateful if any senior members give me advice. based on ur feed back i will apply so please help me.

thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Both these jobs are located where? Which City/Country?
2. A company being a 'legal entity' or not is immaterial to CIC.
3. If the firm has an office & is/was in business & u had an employee status, that's enough.
4. With your present employment, enclose as much docs & info as u can. -That's the trick
5. The latest ref letter should hold your JDs as per the NOC u apply.
6. To make your experience strong, add all the info & an org chart, if u can.

hello,

thanks a lot for reading my post and provide suggestion. i really appreciate it. both these jobs are located in Dhaka city, Bangladesh. i am currently staying in Canada doing my masters. i have these work experience before i come here four months ago. so i can not include my present employment documents because i am a student now. i have collected job contacts for all the positions i served in both companies, also reference letter match with NOC JD. the first firm i served has office in several places in Dhaka and it is in business right now. only problem is when i join there in 2004 they were not registered although it was waiting for approval from government and they became registered in 2006. i have no problem with second firm where i work from 2007 to 2009. so do u think i am safe? and when u said include org chart i was checking the check list of immigration package they don't say any thing about it and it also mention i should only provide what they are asking for. and about the job contacts, do u think i should includes job contacts of every position i served becasue every time i get promotion i did sign new contacts. or i should only submit the initial job contact?

any way thanks you so much for helping me out. i am grateful.

thanks again and looking forward for your reply!!!!

I am shocked to see this. If you have received this kind of letter then it must be true but...many people have got immigration where the company they were working for was not registered.

Dear Ont,

I suggest you include all documents, including your promotions and all contracts. We were asked to submit our contracts after we send them a letter of employment. Therefore, to avoid delay send everything. it is not irrelevant; it just shows infact that you have progressed in your career and will add value to the canadian economy.

I am not a expert, my 2 cents advise only...

That post is not telling the true & complete story.

A rejection due to an employer being not registered [where? how?] is not possible. CIC has nothing to do with the legal entity of a corporate body which is not affiliated to them.

All they need is 'proof' that that the applicant is 'working' in a particular NOC & in an 'operational' organization* which pays him. If the org can be contacted & the job of the applicant can be verified -it's just fine.

*The org shouldn't be fictitious.

Note: There r many nations, type of orgs in many cities/countries which have different forms of registering an org... sometimes none at all.
