Hi there,
I have more than 7 years auditing experience, including 5 years in USA. Currently, I work as an auditing manager in a mid size CPA firm in USA. I’m thinking about moving to Canada but a bit concerned about the job market. I’m not interested in doing audit again, unless I can find manager level jobs. To leave auditing is the main reason that I want to move to Canada. I’d like to switch to corporate finance (FP&A or Financial reporting) and hope
to get senior title in at least a mid-size company. I believe I can transfer my US CPA to Canada CPA. I’m also considering doing 1 year MBA and part time job at the same time, so I can get a better finance job after graduation, or even break into IB or consulting. However, given my age ( already in 30s), I know the chance for IB and consulting is slim. For those who have already worked in Canada, could you please let me know if my expectations are realistic? Any advice will be much appreciated. Thank you.
