Need Advice,Bank Statement !!!

With reference to the Email recieved by Shanbaba regarding Passport Request from CHC,Islamabad in which they have asked for Updated Bnak Statement,with that they have put some conditions,I will paste that below :

"- Proof of transferable funds, in your name, in the form of original updated Bank Statement [Transaction Report 3-6 months] equivalent to CAD$ 22,831 from your bank showing that you have sufficient liquid funds, unencumbered by any debts or obligations.

Note: Bank Certificates / Letters, Joint Bank Account Statements (where co-holder is other than your spouse) or Bank Statement if it is in the name of the Company/Business, Bank Drafts, Saving/Investment documents, Fixed Deposits and Property Evaluation certificates are not accepted as proof of funds. "

Now the problem I am facing is that I have provided CHC,Islamabad my Joint Bank Account with my Mother in Full Application with Supporting Docs already sent to CHC.I have also attached an Affidavit at that time signed by my mother that she will have no Objection If I withdraw whole amount in case of Immigration to Canada.
Now in this email I have pasted above ,they are again asking for Updated Bank statement but with that they have also mentioned that Joint Account with Spouse is only acceptable to them and that Joint Account with other persons is not acceptable. What should I do in this scenario????????? I am expecting same Email by the end of July,so have little time left,opening a new account is out of questio thing,so please advice me in this scenario.. what problems I have to dela with in this situation????

Shanbaba got an e-mail to ensure that he has maintained the funds he had shown earlier. your case is different. your proof of funds will not be considered approved in the first place. IO will have 2 options here... 1) reject your application 2) write a letter asking you to furnish funds in you name within 15-20 days. this letter will most likely not contain provisional approval. option 2 will occur only if your application is strong from all other angles. i think you need to start praying to God

After having done medicals, IO will not reject on the basis of funds. Imran has got enough funds, the only problem is that the account is opened with his mother as a Joint-Account. There is no question of rejection in this case, just relax Imran and everything will be ok.

are you sure about this? proof of funds is a hard criteria. i guess, PMM/Leon?Rupesh and BCGuy can throw more light on this.

I am agree with aanbaan, they can refuse application at any stage, proof of funds is a serious issue, specifically. Why OP don't take whole money and change them to travellers check, certified checks etc? That would be proof that he has access on all amount and now changed to travelers checks as OP is ready to bring this money to Canada, or open a quick account in HSBC, HSBC give you option, if you open account in your country, you can transfer funds to canada without any problem, so open account and depositve all amount there. My personal opinions only, if OP recieves request. By they way, I hope affidavit will work as its a proof too.

I have corssed almost all the stages of immigration,recieved provisional acceptance,medical request and after that done with the medicals on 9th July,2009.They have already assessed my documents and then sent me that Provisional acceptance letter,if they had any issue with the proof of funds,i think they could have asked for that in the letter of Provisional acceptance,what do u say???????

First of all I never knew about that,secondly I have sent the same Bank statement of same Joint Bank Account with my mother in Full Application to my Local Visa Office.If they havent raised any issue during the time of assessment of my documents,y they will have any problem now?????????? Proof of Fund are primarily considered at Documents Assessment stage at local visa office.What I think is that if they didnt bother at that time ,they wont bother this time too.Seniors pls advise.............

I am a bit worried after seeing shanbaba's mail regarding proof of fund. I applied in 2006. Am expecting a letter from canadian immigration to do medical and submit police clearance certificate. Already 3 yrs gone. Still getting nothing. Anyways I have approximately 14,000 CAD dollars. But it is not in my savings a/c. It's in the form of fixed deposit and some money saved as deposit pension scheme (every month i pay Tk. 5000 which after a certain period will be matured. Can I show these as POF when it will required after medical clearance? or these wont be acceptable? Pls someone help me to resolve this matter. Another thing 4 months ago i received a letter if i am still interested to immigrate. If not I will be given back application processing fee. I answered still i am interested. Does a person get this sort of letter before they ask for medical and PCC. I am very worried. Need to know. Pls someone help me

The problem is they (CIC) are in-charge not you. You cannot argue on what you don't have in your name, they won't accept the joint account except spouse because of reasons. You only have one option to open a new account and transfer all the money to this account and send them the statement. If you keep sending affidavits, you will be rejected for not having enough funds. Also put a note with the new account statement that you do not have 3 months history because this is a new account and because you thought that your joint account will work with your mother, therefore you never opened an account for you.

With due respect I beg to differ.Y r u not considering the point that after submission of douments including thatsame bank statement,they not only accepted my case but issued me Medicals 2 days after that.Dont u think that they havent considered that Bank Statement as Proof of fund??????? I havent yet recieved that email,I might not have to provide this bank statement but I am just anticipating that they might ask for that.Secondly dont they check Proof of fund when one submit Full Application to Local Visa Office??? If they do check and lets suppose they found any problem y they didnt ask me to change that account or provide further proof of fund??????? In your earlier post you said that they are asking the Bank Statement again and they will not accept if it is not in your name or spouse. The thing you are not understanding is they can process your application but the proof of funds comes towards the end and that is why they are asking you (per your post).

Medicals and Initial Assessment letter has nothing to do with Proof of funds, usually these request comes first along with the request of proof of funds, so they don't know what funds you have and they send you medicals and IA letter.

You are migrating to Canada not your mother, so you need the funds in your name, it would worked with spouse if its a joint account and the whole family is moving, but since your are over 18, you don't need to show an accounts with your mother, it puts them in doubts and without proof of funds you are not going anywhere.

As I said you have only one option, rest is all up to you - you can do nothing and wait what they do to your application and have false assumptions.

Initial Assessment at CIO,Sydney
Local Visa Office Review Complete
Provisional Acceptance
Medicals Done

Now I am just saying that dont they look for Proof of fund at Local Visa Office???? when we send Full Application with Supporting documents(including Proof of Fund) ????????I have sent the same Bank statement at local Visa office with my Application but they didnt raise any issue on that!!!!

Now I will open a new bank account tommorrow in my name and transfer all that amount in new account.I am thinking of opening that account after I recieve this email,so that I can write in that explanation letter that I have opened this new account cuzz I didnt know that you dont accept joint account with persons other than spouse!!!
