Hello everyone!
My family and myself were lucky to be picked by NBPNP and went through the whole EE process and we received our entry visas and CoPR <3 <3
-- Now! It all happened quickly; quicker than we thought so me and my wife had to do a soft landing before our visas expire and then we will come back to stay in NB
We have many many questions in mind and it seems that few people were able to help us since most people we know just landed in Canada instead of doing a soft landing... so here we go:
- How do we report soft landing to the NB government? We found form NB-0013 which seems to be for big landings rather than the soft ones.
- We are committed to stay in NB and we have no intention to move to another province, but we want to know how long can we stay outside Canada before we can make the big move? This will help us avoid any unnecessary stress and better plan ahead.
- What is the time limit to get an SIN? this important since we don't want to get an SIN before our next trip to Canada otherwise our tax affairs might get messy.
- We opened bank accounts and we want wire-transfer from overseas when it suits us. We want to know whether the transferred funds would be taxed? It would be reasonable if the Canadian government allows funds to be transferred tax-free for a year or two for migrants.
We know that the provided responses aren't legal or professional answers but we appreciate if responses come from previous experiences of other members.
Thank you very much and have a lovely day
