NBPNP and FSW program

Can we apply for FSW program as well as NBPNP Program, simultaneously.

I have applied for the NBPNP program in July 2013 and till date, I have no news from the office. When I have called the helpline the reply is, application received and they can't give any timelines as they are over loaded with lot of applications. Can I apply for the FSW program now and what are the timelines for the same. Hope it is not a conflict of interest between both the programs.
