Dear Friends,

I am right now applying for PR in the CEC category. I was trying to fill up form IMM008 and have run into one confusion. This is related to the information that is being asked for the National Identity document. I am from India and would like to know if the Adhar card is considered a National identity document or not. Kindly let me know.

Thanks

Passport is not a national identity card. Some countries have them, some do not. India does not (yet).

Hii,

I am in the process of filling this form too, but i happen to come from a country which has the national identity document but unfortunately it has no expiry date only the issue date. Kindly advise on what to put on expiry date for those who come from countries with such documents.

Thanks

Ideally, i would leave it blank and write in "no expiry." If the form won't validate without a date, try entering 0000s or 9999s, see if that will validate, or something like 2999/01/01 - and then write in "no expiry."
