National identity card

My husband's national identity card has expired and the imm 008 requires a date. Can I lanswer the question as no that he does not have a valid national ID card since I have already provided the passport number. will we have an issue with this ? Also the country is having issues of renewing new national identity cards.

I don't think you would have an issue. Passport is more important than national ID, and some countries don't have them at all.
If he had lost it and didn't renew it, he wouldn't have a national ID. So if you don't plan on renewing it and getting a valid one, you can answer no.
