My best friend just realized her names on their certificate is wrong and have been married for 2 years in another country before she fled to Canada. She passed her refugee hearing and in process of sponsoring her husband, but the names are wrongly spelled her names are Mary-Ann Tracy Lucy Smith but on her marraige certificate is Mary-Ann Lracy k. Tucy Smith (very messed up) but thats whast written. Will CIC accept their marriage or she need to remarry again as the name registered don't match and cant validate the marriage. I told her immigration might not accept that certificate, but not sure so i wanted to ask if anyone had this experience.
