Hello Guys!
Before applying for Canadian citizenship, I renewed my Philippine passport to my married name... Because I was advised that IRCC will go by the name on my current passport for my Citizenship application.
LAST NAME: Bernard
MIDDLE Name: Castro (My maiden name-My father's last name)
Given Name: Charmaine Frances
When filling out the form, it asked the name that was on the immigration document that I had. (work permit and COPR)
So I put:
Last name: Castro
Given Name: Charmaine Frances BORROMEO (my mother's maiden name)
And since forms here in Canada sometimes doesn't ask for middle name, I placed BORROMEO with my given name. (this started with the forms from my previous work permit applications) Also, we were taught that whatever is on our Philippine Passport, we should put it on the forms we fill out.
There is also a question on the form, of which name we wanted to use on the application
So I put, Charmaine Frances Bernard (Which is on my driver's license too)
But on my ECAS it shows: Charmaine Frances BORROMEO Bernard
IRCC dropped my Maiden name CASTRO.
Now, I am assuming that CHARMAINE FRANCES BORROMEO BERNARD will appear on my citizenship certificate and will be used for my Canadian passport.
You are probably thinking why is this a big deal. It is because, I will apply for my dual citizenship too. But as I have mentioned above my Philippine passport will be different from my Canadian certificate and Canadian passport.![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
I didn't know that my name will be so complicated![Stick Out Tongue :p :p](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
What should I do about this? Please advise.
