name change on study permit

hi, there’s an error on my study permit regarding my name. the name on my passport has my “given name” and no surname. because of this, my name is under family name and there’s no given name available. due to this, my SIN is also updated the same way. when i tried to file my taxes this year, the records showed an error under my name as there is no given name.

can anyone help me fix my permit please?

I believe that's the suggested practice for IRCC.
I don't think you can "fix your permit" but instead find out how CRA can handle filing with no given name.

What do you mean by surname?

Your surname is your family name. It’s also called your “last name.” When filling out applications, type your surname as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document.

Do not use initials.

If you don’t have a family name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank. Do not enter “Not applicable,” “*” or “NA.”
