Name Change on Canadian Citizenship HELP!!!

Hi, my name recently legally changed. I also have been a Canadian citizen for over 18 years now.

Turns out that after the name is changed through the province (in this case SK - eHealth), the passport expires and needs to be reapplied for. The passport application requires a citizenship certificate with the new name on it. The application for the certificate is 5 months, I dont have that kind of time to wait right now.

Is there any way I can obtain a new passport without the citizenship?

Does anybody know how much it would cost to have my name changed on the citizenship card? I dont really understand which fee I would have to pay to have the name replaced on the certificate.

Hi there Visaforca on what basis did you change from normal to urgent? I can see its taking 5 months to get new certificate.

Yup submitted original certificate.
Got Federal Job which required passport and for passport I required correct name on passport.
