Hi, I have recently sent Citizenship Application in December 2020 and we intend to change first name for my kid who is only 5 years old after decision made(which I hopefully expects in 2022). What are the possible options that I have to change first name for my kid in Quebec.
1. Can I apply for Name change after Decision made in Quebec or shall i wait for Citizenship certificate to arrive?
2. Should I let it go with current name until I receive Canadian Passport and then apply for name change. If so do I have to change name on Citizenship Certificate and then change it on Passport. What will be the process?
3. What is the process in Quebec to change name? Does I have to give any explanation or I just say that I want to change name for my kid? If it needs an explanation what shall I give?
