Hello Mr. Rana,

1) if u think that cic medical can cuase any prob as u hv any health prob, its better for u to make sure to hv through medical examination with private doc before actual medical.

as, its gives u an idea abt ur health. well, in medical they go for urine, blood, physical, X-ray test. urine test is for any infection or sexual transacted deasese to dignose. blood for hiv/ aids n any other abnormality. physical to confirm any operation mark which took place before and to releave d result for that. xray for tb. u can ask any private doc for all dis test to be done before ur medical arrives. n BP also to be checked. here is d link for more details http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

2) well, for me it cost me 1.2m UGX for 2 adult full check up, 2 kids - 1 7 yrs so physical + urine, 1 is infant so only physical. m in uganda. n i did it frm IOM uganda. as its only IOM who does medical in uganda. else, for nairobi i do not have any idea. but still u can check it out online on dis link http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?CountryID=1948&CountryName=Kenya

however, u can go to IOM Kenya and inquire for fees in detail. mine went smoothly, as staff from reception to doc himself were too frndly n suuportive. hope you find d same with ur medical, too. wish u best to rcv medical, soon.

It seems like applicants from Nairobi are not as many as applicants from other VOs. We have not received news since sept. 20th.

my first case before of 2008 was withdrawn. n new case of 2010........hs bad news. agent says, they got updates from nairobi chc dat dey stopped visa issuance uptill 10th jan 2013. but still agent insist me to wait for atleast this month for visa. if not, 2013 will be ther. such a bad bad bad n sad news to share with nvo guys.

Hi Payals,

I know many applicants from VO nairobi who have got visas recently. they are all quebec's. maybe that news depend on each category of the application.

I am stuck in the same situation like urs, as i read in another forum example many applicants from accra VO are getting visa currently
but when we compare the qouta allocated to NVO vs AVO Nairobi's is greater but i don't understand stopped giving visa early this year
i asked them to send back my passport 15 days before but i haven't received it yet, do u know the way how they are gonna send it?

I think they give visa for Quebec applicants only they stoped for FSW, can i ask a Question are u MI1(pre-June applicant)?

Hi Elda,

I am not pre-june but March 2012 applicant.

I just received email from NVO but they did not mention next year visa for me but at VO final review.

Keep faith we will get our visa very soon.

i dont know wat to do at this point of time. m just stuck. n becoming more hopeless. but, still keep checking on chc website for any update. may b chc stopped for chc n only quebec gets visa or other category too. not sure. unless they officially announce on their website. but, i doubt that they do so. but let us see. v only can do one thing is waiting n waiting n waiting.

plz let others know if, any nvo client get visa now n in between dec. then, will be gud for us to hv more hope to get visa issued.

I guess you've been misinformed...it's the new applications that have been stopped to clear off the big backlong and not the visa.

So keep your hope pinned and let's expect you and all others would soon hear some good news!

Also in case of submitting Passports, is it done on a personal visit basis or via courier?

I got thoughtful seeing the fact that if they keep ones Passport for too long, it might be an issue if someone has to travel urgently overseas.....

thanks for giving me hope, i agree with your logic. lets not think adverse n be hopeful for smding better to cm out soon.

n u r right abt keeping pps for too long. even, in my case, my son wud be needed his passport in dec for debai football trip. if m not getting all pps by then, i wud hv to ask chc for him atleast to send me back.

I think we are in the same stage, pls let us share our update and experiance.
How much time generally they take to encash RPRP?
It has been 3 months. I have sent RPRF,they haven't
encashed yet.
In other VO it take max 1 to 2 months. Is there any one who got receipt of RPRF?

i don't understand i have got receipt of RPRF from Canadian embassy here Addis. their is no problem about this the only thing why the Nirobi VO conform us weathers they received our passport or not.

just got to know that nvo still issues visas to fsw even, my agent says they got sm fsw visas in sep even. so, hopefully, we all will get gud news soon. will update u for any new info, if i get.
