I went to Canada purely as a vacation but ending up applying for Jobs whilst I am there.
I attended several interviews and ended up being offered a permanent position.
Job code is NOC 2282. Employer has never filed for an LMIA before.
Was just wondering how close is NOC 2282 to Computer Systems Analyst that is on the NAFTA agreement where the position is exempt from the employer having to file an LMIA?
My employer thinks its close enough? Though I can't convince them..
I have the job letter in hand. Shall I risk taking the letter along with other supporting documentation (US passport, UK degree etc...) to the New York/Buffalo Canada/US border and seeing if they will grant me a TN visa?
