Hi,

There is a statement that says that If a section does not apply to you, write “Not Applicable” or “NA”. So what does that really mean then. Like for instance the address portion. I don't have a P.O. box or certain phone types.

Yes. Do not leave anything blank in your application. If you leave anything blank CIC could possibly think you are leaving information out. I literally put N/A in every single blank. If I did not have a fax # I put N/A... Etc etc. Even on the questions I answered NO to I also put N/A in tha blank. Hope that helps!

What about the parts that are greyed out?

You don't need to write anything, as they are already greyed out. CIC knows these questions do not apply.

You do not need to write N/A but I did anyways. It wouldn't hurt to write N/A in the grey areas but it isn't necessary.

I'd use a pen but that's ok.

It's also a good idea to write "N/A" on the checklist items that aren't applicable/included. I've read of at least one case of someone having their app returned because CIC thought they left something out that wasn't even necessary for their application.
