You know, I wish there was more consistency with updates, that they were real time as things happen from the very beginning and throughout the duration of processing. It would go a long way to alleviating some of the stress people feel during this process, especially when it goes beyond the 12 month mark.

There would probably be less calls to the call center too which I'm sure they would be happy about, since they don't seem to want anyone calling them anyway! They make the phone system so difficult to navigate and actually get a live person and then when you do, are usually not very helpful anyway, or cant tell you more than what currently shows in your account.

They also specify that they don't want your emails/web inquiries unless under very particular circumstances such as a technical problem.

So perhaps by being a little more diligent with updating the accounts and documenting whenever there is movement or a change, or to confirm that a requested document has been received instead of leaving people in limbo wondering if the very important updated schedule A they sent has been received or is just floating out into the ether!), etc..it would make things a lot smoother for everyone involved, CIC included.
