My Work Permit expiry 22 November 2009

Hello,

my Work Permit expiry 22 November 2009.

I am working for a construction's company as labourer.
I want to make a new application for another Work Permit or a Permanent Resident.
If I don't receive an answer before November 22 nd 2009 I can keep on working for this company or I have to leave Canada and to return in my state in Italy?
