My wife going for study, can i go along on spouse visa and work?

Hi there,

I am from India, I just got married and now me and my wife are planning to settle in Canada.

My wife has Bachelors degree in Electrical Communication Engineering and got 4 years of work experience in Software And she is applying for MBA In canada

I have a Bacholers degree in Bio-technology, and i have 2+ years of experince in Software

I want to know few things before we apply for canada:

1. What are my chances on getting spouse visa along with my wife?
2. can we both go for visa at a time or When should I apply?
3. Can i get work permit as well?
4. How long can i work in canada?
5. How to get job in Canada?
6. For me Is there any requirement to write IELTS?
7. Is there any thing else may i know?

You can apply but as you know, there's never any guarantee of success.

2. can we both go for visa at a time or When should I apply?
You can apply together.

3. Can i get work permit as well?
You should apply for a Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP). http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-spouse.asp

4. How long can i work in canada?
Your SOWP will have the same duration as your wife's study permit.

5. How to get job in Canada?
Look on job boards – www.jobbank.gc.ca or www.monster.ca or www.indeed.ca. Look for labour market forecasts for the city where you'll be living and figure out what jobs are in demand.

6. For me Is there any requirement to write IELTS?
No.

7. Is there any thing else may i know?
Look for information on CIC's website or ask any questions on these forums.
