My visa application to attend a conference was rejected

I applied for a visa to attend a conference and it was rejected due to two reasons

1. You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.

2.The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the
details you have provided in your application.

I want to reapply again… please what do you think I need to do? I’m not married yet but lived with my fiancée in my country of residence… I have my families in my country of origin.

No. The conference is not over. It’s happening September 10-12 of this year. I work and live in Dubai. I’m attending the conference to gain more knowledge and also to meet other people whom we can share ideas. Also looking to venture into that category in the future so more knowledge for me.

You need to address the refusal reasons.

1. Show family ties, not just mention them, provide documental proofs.
2. Show documental proofs: invitation to the conference, your role, necessity. And ask for duration of your stay no longer than a conference.

And one more thing, attending a conference may be considered as a business endeavour that is not aligned with a tourist visit.

Did you provide the event code to let IRCC that your conference is registered with them? Is this a business conference? If so read the link.

Conference: What you want to show is the this conference is unique and that it is not held in other countries closer to you. Also, explain other conferences that you have attended that were similar and how it helped your business. You want to get a letter of invitation from the organizers. If for your employer, then employer provides letter on why you must attend.

Ties to return: spouse/children not coming, business registration with contracts, job letter with approved leave, status in UAE that is long term.

Travel: UK, US, AUS and NZ

September 10-12 of this year sounds very unrealistic to get a visa by that time. The processing time for United Arabia Emirates is 52 days

That all sounds dodgy to me and even more to the officer in charge of your application. Why spend thousands of Dollars..
It looks you are trying to either get a job illegally in Canada or apply for asylum when there.

Thank you for your response. In the visa options, I can only see student, transit, visitor, work permit and not sure…. So I think visitor is the applicable one in this situation.

It is visitor but showing links to your business/employment to attend conference. What are your ties to return then? Being single will not help you as that is a reason for refusal. Having no family ties for IRCC is always an issue. Single people can move more easily so you need to show absolute proof to return.
