Hello Guys,

Today I had my Test/Interview at Edmonton.

About the Test, it was not easy as I expected. 70% of the Questions were very easy 20% is like 50/50 and 10% of questions (2 Questions) I have no clue (I haven't prepared very well just 1-2 hours per day reading Discover Canada for 4,5 days). I was expecting 15-16 and finally I was able to score 18/20

About the Interview, it was nice. They asked my following documents

Passport, PR Card, COPR, Drivers License. She aslo checked only the PR Card of my son (minor 5 years old). She asked how many times I traveled outside Canada and I said never. Then she checked my passport each and every page carefully. Then she asked why my wife isn't applied for the Citizenship I said she is not ready for it.

She asked there was a employment gap of 2,3 months and how do I meet the expenses I said we have small savings. Finally she gave me a Form and asked me to sign and tell me about my score in the Test and said they will inform us via email about the next step in 2,3 months.

Overall the Interview/Test was good

Thanks

Hi All, I have a my test in July 2018, however few days ago I renewed my Driving License and Health card, these are ones I sent as copies with the application form, although these are still valid and not sure when I will receive the renewed one, my question, will this interfere or create a problem on the test date which also includes an interview. Thanks and much appreciated for your feed back.

No reason it should be a problem. If they aren't valid at the time of your test, take the temporary that was given to you when you renewed.

Thanks, however, the present ID's are still valid for a couple of months more, will they ask why I renewed this early when still valid for another 2 months??..they took new photos for both ID's..
Truly I went to Service Ontario to inquire about Vanity plates and when the lady at the counter checked my license she just mentioned that my DL and Health card are up for renewal and I had the option to renew now or later...I just opted to renew now and take the new photos to avoid lining up later may as well do it now that I stood in line for half an hour...It completely missed my mind that these ID copies were given to CIC...Damn stupid of me. I wasn't thinking...As is it takes long for Citizenship I just don't want unnecessary delays for something silly like this

Notices of renewal go out months in advance. Lot's of people renew early. It's really nothing for you to worry about.
