There are no citizenship cards anymore. Only citizenship certificate. Processing time according to CIC is 9 months. If your son is less than 2 yrs you can apply for a temp passport which is valid for 2 yrs. Meanwhile your sons citizenship proof will be ready and you can apply for regular passport.
