Being a professional with a good education is not the issue. Unfortunately she doesn’t have travel history to show that she abides by immigration rules. Does she live in her home country? Did she provide employment letter with approved leave? If self employed, then client letters/contracts or proof she must return. How long was the visit? Purpose? What are her ties to home country? What is your sister’s status in Canada?

If her husband was approved (primary applicant) then it may be because his spouse is then his tie to return.

What country?
What is your status in Canada (immigration streams)?
So she has a leave letter from the university or is she self employed? She works full time?
Is her husband the main income provider?
What was purpose of visit?
What family ties does she have to return since her husband has a visa?

Believe her husband was granted the visa, because your sister is his tie to return. She needs to show that her income is that of her husband‘s with guaranteed full-time work on her return. Seems like she didn’t show that.

Travel history is to the UK, US, NZ and/or AUS.

I value your contribution to the forum. Are you able to eye this question for me please.

Hello everyone. My brother was filing for a visit Visa to visit me. I wanted to ask and get recommendations whether in the Cover letter explaining the purpose of Visit, is it acceptable/wise to give a Bullet Header and then stating or elaborating on it. For example

  1. Purpose of Travel - I shall be travelling to Canada to meet my brother in law, who has invited us to celebrate his marriage anniversary
  2. Ties to Home Country - I have a Property in my name and work fulltime with WIPRO.
  3. Financials - I have adequate Bank Balances
  4. Inviter Information - XYZ Passport no GHGHFHFGF

The above is an example only. I wanted opinion if its better to help immigration officer get a better idea and context by giving Bulleted headers.

Thank you ahead Hero Members

Also is it wise to mention any visa refusals on the cover letter (purpose of travel letter) or one should only mention it on the application form

You can use this format but there is no such rule that using this format will better present your application or give you an advantage. There is no such thing
  1. Purpose of Travel - I shall be travelling to Canada to meet my brother in law, who has invited us to celebrate his marriage anniversary
  2. Ties to Home Country - I have a Property in my name and work fulltime with WIPRO.
  3. Financials - I have adequate Bank BalancesYou need to be specific. this is very vague
  4. Inviter Information - XYZ Passport no GHGHFHFGF
