Dear Mrs./Mr.
I have landed in Canada in March 2007 and I had to return to my country after 33 days because my wife had to continue her education, besides I had some issues in our personal relationship that made my situation more complex, I just started to get prepared for Master degree entrance exam in order to use my time. 1st Year I failed but the 2nd year I entered to one of the best universities in my country, during my study my wife decided to get divorce, I did all to change the decision but it did not work out and she insisted. I accepted to cooperate in order to let her choose her better life. The divorce established in Sep 2010. I became dead inside and suffered from a bad depression. I continued my study and finally graduated from university with complete thesis number and A+ GPA, but it took a long time and I finished all the process 60 days ago (3 years of studying). I also need to release my certificate and it was a time consuming matter which finished 14 days ago and after 4 days I came to Canada, Toronto. At the airport the officer asked me how long have you been in Canada? And I frankly replied approximately a month or so. He said may be the immigration revokes your PR, and I said but I have my own excuse to be out, he said it is depend on them to decide base on the H&C case. I said nothing more and peacefully finished the conversation.
Now I wonder to now:
1- What is my real status in Canada? Am I going to be an illegal resident in here after end of March which my PR Card will expired then?
2- If I want to renew my OHIP(which has been expired on 2009) or getting my driving license, do I need my PR for these cases or any similar cases?
3- For working in Canada, does anyone allow asking me to show my PR or just showing my SIN Number is enough to prove I am permanent resident? ( I have SIN Number which is started with 5)
4-I want to continue my education for Ph.D and there is pretty much difference between international students and Canadian students in here. How should I introduce myself when I talk to them? Should I tell them that I am a permanent resident or not? Am I really a permanent resident? Do they fulfill with my SIN Card and OHIP and driving license for accepting me as a Permanent Resident or they may ask my PR Card? What should they do if they find out my PR is expired?
5-Totally what are the potential risks for me to be in this status till next two years to ask for renewal?
I really appreciate if you help me.
