The whole situation is :

My post graduate work permit will be expired by Sep 20th, 2010.

I quit my current job so I don't have any job now.

I applied Canadian Experience Class immigration 2 month ago. (Do not have File # yet)

My common law parnter is Canadian PR. We bought a house and live together.

Is any possible I can extend my open work permit?

I called call centre they told me I have two options:

1. chang my status from worker to visitors

2. Apply Family Imm sponsorship then can apply a open work permit at the same time. However, it will be duplicate with my current CEC application.

Very Urgent!!!

Please give me your advice, thank you very much!!!

Family sponsorship as common law partner is different from your CEC application. It would be two applications for permanent residency but two different routes.

You should definitely first change your status to visitor (as your current visa is expiring soon).
After that apply for Family immigration sponsorship, as it is processed faster. It should not effect your immigration application under CEC, however, they may ask you at the end to choose, through which option you want to get immigration (offcourse they can't give you PR twice :)
