My parents submitted old and new passport to vfs

Hello,

My Father has Us visa on old passport and he submitted it along with new passport to the vfs office.

Now after returning home we are wondering if Canada office will return the old passport along with new one after stamping it or will destroy the old one. Please help.

The visa office will return the old passport. They cannot/will not destroy it
