My Mom Being a Visitor During My Student Program

I want to apply for Canada student visa and also I want my mom to be there as a visitor during my student program. Our plan is that my mom applies for a 5-year multiple entry visa before I apply for a student visa. Our family in Iran only includes my mom and me and we don't have any other substantial tie other than title deeds. I was wondering if this plan works. Our concern is that getting visa for one reduces the chance of getting visa for the other because of lack of family ties in Iran.

I was almost in a similar position but my mother went as a student a year ago and my siblings are with her now and i recently applied for a study permit but got refused for not satisfying officer that i will return, i suspect its because my mother and siblings are in Canada and i have no family ties in home country as i am just coming out of high school. i used my parents ties to home country such as their house and cars but it didn't help apparently. My father is in home country but that did not seem to be convincing enough. I hope this story helps. Apart from refugees, Canada makes it hard for family to come to their country, its like they are very hard on your if you have a family member in Canada or have one ho has recently been admitted. I hope it works out

I'm afraid I would have to agree. If you're mother is on a 5 year multiple entry Visa your chances of a study permit are very unlikely since she is your main tie back to Iran. Best for you to get the study permit and for mom to come visit on 6 month visitor visa. Another option is for her to also become a student.
