My Friend's parents received visitor visa but mine did not|Applied at same time

Hi,

My friend and I applied visitor's visa at the same time for our respective families. But his family received it quite early about in a week but mine has not received anything yet. Its about 2 weeks and status is still open. This was online application in both the cases.
Any idea why would this happen ?

You cannot compare processing times between completely unrelated applications. Could be for any reason, funds, ties to home country, purpose of visit ,anything really taking longer to review.

Your question has already been answered. Each application is different and is assessed individually. There are many (many) reasons why the processing of your parent's application could be taking longer. It doesn't really matter that the applications were submitted at the same time and not logical to compare. There is nothing you can do but wait. It's quite possible you may still be waiting weeks or even a month or more.
