Hello Everyone,

I created and submitted my express entry profile and it was rejected twice. I am unsure why it was rejected, even though the eligibility test says that I am eligible (calculated CRS score - 479 )

Below are a few examples of why a candidate will be found ineligible:

• not having a valid language test, - IELTS General (Exam Date - 3 November 2018)
• language test results that are more than two years old, My test result is very recent
• a language test score that is too low, (Score is L - 8.5, R - 7.5, W - 7, S - 7.5)
• not having enough relevant work experience, (6 Years ) (6 Years with NOC 2173) in USA; 2 years in India (with NOC 2173)
• not having the required education level, Masters (from USA)
• not having enough funds. Added 50000 (family of 3 - spouse and child)

I feel the above reasons might not the cause of rejection, but can below reasons be the reason for rejection?
1. My passport will be expiring in 7 months. Since the application asks for expiration date of passport
2. I have total of 8 years (NOC - 2173) of work exp, with 2 years in India, then I did my master and 6 years in US . So can a discontinuous experience cause rejection?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

1. Not sure about passport validity thing.
2. If your US work experience is recent and continuous (as I understood it is), then for sure this issue is not related to your work experience.

Did you enter correct WES number for your education?
I am yet to do ECA for my degrees. So I have given "NO" for Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).
Is it mandatory to have ECA before "express Interest for express entry" ?

Oh! that should be the reason for rejection :(
I am wondering how the portal let me submit twice with NO ECA !

P.S - is ECA needed for both Bachelors and Masters?

That's why it's ineligible.
You need to have a diploma equivalent to Canadian diploma to be eligible. Tick "Yes" and problem solved.
Theoretically you have the possibility of submitting EE profile with a dummy ECA number now, and change it Post-ITA once you have ECA number.
But I don't advise that as they may have eliminated this possibility now.
