Hello guys, so I applied for asylum at the airport upon entry with a visitor's visa. The immigration officers took away my personal ID documents such as passport, ID and my international driver's license (which is valid to drive in Canada). I hear I could only be returned those documents after my hearing which just got postponed.
So my question is, can I contact IRB to give my drivers license back (pending my case) so that I can use it to drive to work? The process of getting a driver's license here is so long.
