Dear Fellows,
I have received my visa and now I am planning to leave to Calgary. While booking my flight to Calgary I came across with following problem .
My desination is Calgary but flight 1st land in Montreal. So the immigration will occur in Montreal instead of Calgary. Does it matter to have out immigration done in Montreal

Immigration is done at all International arrivals of the Airports in Canada. During the landing formalities at the immigration counter, the officer will ask about your destination. You should give the Calgary address and show your onward domestic flight ticket if asked. It is very usual that several new immigrants to other provinces are travelling via Montreal Airport because of reduced flight charges and connecting flights.

make sure you have at least 2 hours between connections to be in the safe side.
